Job Summary
This is not your average technician position! If you want to provide senior level support to a high profile customer without out of town travel, this position could be for you. Elite Contracting Group is looking for an Electronic Security Senior Service Technician to join one of the fastest-growing full-service security and resiliency solution integration companies in Virginia. The Electronic Security Senior Technician designs, engineers, integrates, operates and maintains electronic security services inclusive of access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, biometric authentication, audio visual, and IT systems.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Create and manage project schedules
  • Ensure all work is performed according to defined safety standards with a focus on quality customer service
  • Program and install head end equipment for Access Control, Intrusion Detection and CCTV systems
  • Install cabling, access control, CCTV devices, intrusion detection equipment and devices as well as associated door hardware
  • Use diagnostic equipment / software and established troubleshooting techniques to isolate equipment failures and resolve performance issues
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, manuals, wiring diagrams, and other specifications
  • Manage and maintain proper material inventory
  • Provide design specifications assistance and feedback
  • Lead teams on large, complex installation projects with limited supervision
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma, graduation from an accredited Electronics Technician program, or graduation from an Electrical Apprenticeship program
  • Minimum five (5) years of electronic security systems installation and / or maintenance experience
  • Vendor certifications and experience with:
    • Lenel access control systems
    • Milestone video management systems
    • Bosch and Inovonics intrusion detection systems
    • AiPhone intercom systems
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues independently
  • Strong oral and written skills
  • Exceptional work ethic with demonstrated customer and quality focus

Preferred Qualifications
  • Manufacturers' Certifications for other related or similar electronic security systems
  • An additional 3+ years of electronic security systems installation and / or maintenance activities
  • Familiarity with National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements for low voltage systems
  • In depth knowledge of Automatic Doors with High & Low Energy Operators
  • Strong MS Excel and Word skills
  • Experience utilizing maintenance management systems

Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, and crawl
  • Must be able to work in confined spaces
  • Must be able to lift and move items over 50 pounds
  • Must be able to climb ladders and elevate in lifts and bucket trucks
  • Must be able to see color to discern color-coded wiring
  • Must be able to work in various conditions, including but not limited to extreme heat and cold

Additional Requirements
  • Must be able to work at customer site Monday – Friday: 900AM – 5:00PM; additional work, including on-call, may be required
  • Must maintain a satisfactory background record
